If the trip is to just to wait at a stage door, then no, not worth it. but I would say that no matter who it was...

It's not worth the trip as Ben hasn't come out for a while and most likely won't in the near future.

He doesn't sign at the SD. Sorry to ruin (or cancel?) your entire trip.
Who cares if he stagedoors or not? If you really want to see him, buy a ticket and go see the show...

Not soon enough

I don't know if you guys are implying that I'm middle or high school aged running free in the city on summer vacay or something but I'm a practicing doctor so if you're waiting on me to go back to school you'll be waiting a while...not all "fangirls" are kids :)
I'm not recommending stalking him, but in between shows last month, he walked past my sister and I on the street, we didn't approach, but there's always a chance to catch him just living his life walking around. I always recommend sending a nice personalized letter to someone if you admire their work- a lot of times that pays off with a note of thanks- call me old fashion but DM-ing someone seems weird if you don't actually know the person.
So let me get this straight- Middle aged fangirl wants to meet Ben Cook at the stagedoor because... If you want a playbill signed by him, mail for a full cast one and you get one signed by everybody. If you want to interact with him, send fanmail (he doesn't respond often though) and otherwise, I have no idea what you would want to do. I find it kind of creepy if this woman who must be significantly older than him is chasing after him in real life.

Not that I need to defend myself to you or anyone else but I’m only a couple years older than him (nowhere near middle aged). I graduated medical school very young. I appreciate the fast judgement though. Didn’t know it was a crime to want to meet a celeb I like. Sorry :)

How much info would we need? You're just coming into the city to meet someone in a show, seemingly without even bothering to go to the show, just so you can be waiting at the stage door if and when he comes out...
Ben is 20 years old. You "graduated from med school very young". Let's see.... four to five years of pre-med preparation, another four years of medical school, and three to seven years of residency. You either are lying about your age, or lying about being a doctor. Either way, it's odd. There is nothing wrong with being in middle or high school.
Ben doesn't really respond to fan mail it seems or stage door. So.....maybe just watch Newsies on Netflix and see Mean Girls on Broadway.
