Hi Everyone,

I'm going to NY later this week and have Thursday open for a show. I've already seen most of the on-Broadway shows I'm interested in, but was looking for some guidance on what to see. I'm currently looking at the following options:

Desperate Measures

The Boys in the Band

Straight White Men

Carmen Jones

Smokey Joe's Cafe

Gettin' the Band Back Together

I'd love to hear what your top two choices would be if you had to pick and/or any other off-broadway shows that I haven't listed if it's a must-see!

Boys in the Band, for sure!

Next-best options are Carmen Jones and Desperate Measures, both of which are fabulous (though very different, lol!).

Such diverse things to choose from, and we dont know your taste at all.

Boys in the Band & Desperate Measures tops my suggestions .
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Thanks everyone! Boys in the Band and Desperate Measures were my top two thoughts, so I think I may try to see Desperate Measures matinee and try to get SRO or Stubhub tickets for Boys in the Band at night.
