I am so sick and tired of people who have anything positive to say about this show being called Ken. It's OBNOXIOUS.
I am going for the second time also next week, and have spread the word to several people who have also purchased tickets.
PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO LIKE THIS SHOW.

As long as they like it in the existing previews thread.

I completely agree. It's incredibly rude to disparage others' opinions about a show, and not at all in the spirit of art.
Can we disparage someone for feeling like they need to start a separate thread just to tell us they liked the show when the 229 post previews thread is literally just a few rows down on the first page?

Thank you. Their whole "well I want to start my own thread so people will read what I have to say" is so annoying. You are not special, in any way, because you liked this show OP. You should have given your opinion in the existing thread and not been lazy about it.

One could make a ferocious argument that starting a new thread is less lazy than adding a post to an existing one. You have to think up a title all on your own, click to start a new thread, and then type out the entire title. Then and only then can you type your message.
Less lazy. More obnoxious.

Not sure how many points we should be awarding for the clever thread title here...
You know, I thought with the multiple posts in this thread since I last checked, that there might be some interesting discussion going on. But nope, just the thread police.
First act was weak. I really didn't find the show fun until maybe 30 minutes in. The main character is a bore. The other characters are very solid but take time to get going.
Top of Act 2, the show clicks and doesn't stop for the rest of the 85 minutes. Main character is still a bore but the humor is very funny at that point. And the music better. Sound mixing wasn't the best for the louder songs.
What everyone says about the Ensemble is correct (very funny and entertaining to watch). The second song in act 2 (second chances) may be the best character arc for a breakdown I have seen in an alright show.
Whole audience ate it up for the whole show (I did about an hour in as I stated earlier. Yes, act 1 is an hour and Act 2 is around 80 minutes)
See it if you have a code
