Hello Dolly or MFL with Kerstin Anderson

Well I've decided I have it in my budget for one more musical this summer. I'm thinking of either seeing Hello Dolly! one last time or MFL with Kerstin Anderson. 

Some context:

I saw Hello Dolly! three times. Once with Bette, twice with Donna. Took my mom to see it. I love the production although the musical isn't my favorite golden age musical. I saw Bette in early previews and sort of want to see her more mature assumption of the role.

I also saw MFL twice, first time in early previews. once when the show was frozen two days before opening night. Loved it, but am curious about what Kerstin Anderson is doing with the role.

Which should I do?

Dolly!, for sure. You'll have more opportunities to see MFL with Kerstin into the fall and winter, conceivably. Not so with Bette and Dolly!

Dolly, hands down. Not only is it a chance to see Bette Midler in peak form, it might be the last chance to see Bette Midler on a Broadway stage period. MFL is going to have a long life, it seems, so you can easily catch the Sunday matinee in the fall like CT2NYC said!

Agreed with the above, Dolly won't be around for very much longer and Bette's performance gets better and better with each show. She's even better in this run.

I aspire to see it as many times as you have some day, Dollypop! There is no better pick-me-up than this show or the cast album (Mary Martin's version is my favorite of the publicly available recordings).

Oh well. So much for that. This morning my macbook screen cracked and the repairs wiped out any musical budget I had

I’m so sorry. That truly sucks. You need to marry a Horace to pay for that (although he’d probably cheap to pay).  Seriously though. Sometimes adulting seriously, truly sucks ba@ll$.

I Know. At least I have seen these wonderful productions so there’s that ...

fyi the apple logo on the MacBook is the most vulnerable part. I dropped my phone on it and the whole thing shattered including the lcd screen.
