Speaking from a completely unbiased perspective, this production is mind-blowingly astonishing and everybody should beg, borrow, or steal to see it asap.

[Dr. Doofenshmirtz Voice] and by unbiased I mean completely biased.

Can you elaborate on what makes this production astonishing?

San Francisco Playhouse has put out a new trailer from their acclaimed revival of ''Sunday in the Park With George,'' featuring John Bambery singing a snippet from ''Color and Light.'' …

One of the things that makes this revival special is the intimacy of this 199-seat theater, which makes it even easier for the talented cast to draw you in, yet still give you the whole picture.

I have a ticket to see this tomorrow night! I had no idea it's been so well-received. I just bought a ticket because I'm in town, and it's my favorite musical, so I'd like another chance to see it live. Glad to hear it's been getting raves. I have to say I'm a bit skeptical though. In the past I've found that SF Playhouse casts its shows very well, but they tend to be a little spotty when it comes to production value. And Sunday is a show where visuals are very important. But I'll reserve judgement until after seeing it, of course!

I bought tickets to see it a second time next week. The strengths of this production lie in the performances, not in the staging - which I found weak in comparison to other SF Playhouse productions.

I found it to be a very satisfying production, however.

I have never seen the show before, so I won't have a reference point. The only San Francisco Playhouse show I have seen was La Cage Aux Folles, which I thought was nicely staged. If the performances are good, that's more important to me - unless I'm one of those people who doesn't like the musical.
