Nederlander Theatre Seating Advice |
I would also go with he mezzanine seats.
I have heard that the mezzanine seats in the Nederlander are very uncomfortable and tight though, is that something i should be worried about? (Just as an FYI I'm 6'0" and the people I'm going with are both about 5'2"
Also, this is a helpful reference for all the theaters:

According to it:
Best Seats In The House:
The Nederlander Theatre is a mid-size theater at about 1,200 seats. The best views are from the center orchestra and the front mezzanine. However, many theater fans will argue that you can't beat the first two rows, which are sold for a deeply discounted price on the day of performance in a lottery. The Nederlander was the first to begin this "rush" policy, which allows people to see a Broadway show for an affordable price.
Though the majority of seats in the theater offer a clear, unobstructed view, the seats are small and may have limited legroom. The first row of the mezzanine is not recommended, as there is a large horizontal bar that can get in the way of the viewing experience.
As a side note, I've found the acoustics terrible in the Mezzanine. i highly recommend the portable listening devices if you're sitting up there.
This seems like the best place to ask this: Does anyone know anything about whether or not the Nederlander has changed its seating chart for Pretty Woman? I bought tix for what I thought were the last 2 seats far house left in Row F. On the ticketmaster map, they were definitely the last ones, on the aisle. I have since double checked other performances, and have found the same thing: seat 19 is the aisle seat. But every seating chart I've found for the Nederlander has shown row F going to seat 21 (same on the opposite side; ticketmaster goes to seat 20, seating charts show 22). Any ideas on what's happening? I'm already bummed that I bought the tickets before learning that house right is way better than house left as far as the sets go. I was at least happy to have aisle seat since I would love the extra space (I have fairly short legs but I have a knee problem and have to stretch it out quite a bit when sitting for a long time). But now I'm wondering if I don't have an aisle seat after all? Or maybe the Nederlander removed seat 21 for some reason?
