They are performing  rogers and hammerstein songs with  the mormon tabernacle choir tonight at 8:00 MDT              ( in almost an hour)

It will be good to hear how they sound together outside of Finding Neverland. Morrison performed on South Pacific and Kelly on The King and I productions so they are familiar with those songs.

Who is telling Broadway performers that what audiences long for is sleepy piano bar jazz renditions?

Laura Michelle Kelly is adorable.

Morrison's still got it.

I'm not so sure about the accuracy of this narration.

Just watched it.  I agree that Laura Michelle Kelly is adorable and has a beautiful voice.  I don't believe that Matthew Morrison's "still got it" because from my experiences, he never had it.  Listen, is he cute?  Yes.  Is he a nice guy?  Yes.  Was Glee fun?  Yes.  Does any of that make a fantastic Broadway performer?  No.  His voice sounds like he's whining.  Obviously my own opinion, and clearly other people don't feel the same way, but I just think it's a sad state when he's considered a great Broadway talent.

And why was he wearing light or no socks with that suit?

The narrator was oscar hammersteins grandson, he was describing  his own family history. I would assume that he was basically accurate.

I was thinking more Light in the Piazza and South Pacific than Glee. I tried to not judge this performance too harshly as I don't think his lower register is that exciting and in concerts with a small cast, sometimes performers get songs that don't suit their voices as well. Off topic, but it made me a little nervous for Kiss Me Kate again.

Here is Matthew at 54 Below, January, 2018, displaying his new "no socks" trademark. Matthew and Kelli O'Hara are still great friends by all appearances and when one is performing somewhere, the other often shows up.

Here Matthew and Kelli sing "Say It Somehow" from Light in the Piazza.

(I was pretty excited to hear that I could shoot video at 54 Below, from point blank range, as long as the flash was off. I shot this whole video with the flash on. They didn't throw me out.)

^ They are performing a concert together this November in San Diego.

Also Matthew said in interviews promoting those 54 below concerts that he is trying to get his hands ( producing ?) on a revival whose rights are currently tied up in London and bring it to Broadway.
