Palace theatre reopening 2021

I’ve been hearing a couple rumours about how the palace would be reopening and what would be the first show in. Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything.

1) and I’ve heard this from multiple people. That Barbra was is talks to do an extended run in the space. Now I’ve heard that it would either be a concert setting or a musical.
2) Bette Midler in a concert setting.
3) A Liza return.

It sounds like they are looking at a concert residency for the reopening.

Theatrefanboy1, you are correct - rumours.  This couldn't be further from the truth.

I think you can cross 1 & 3 off your list pretty quickly.  Their voices aren't there in 2018, let alone in 2021.

Way too early... who even knows if the project will stay on track to open in 2021? In a horrible worst-case scenario, there could be a major complication with raising the theatre part and then they'd have to re-build it, too.
