We recently saw Heathers at the Other Palace and at the end of the show a member of the cast bent over the stage (we were in the front row) and told us that we needed to smile more during his show and then walked off stage.  I have never been so offended in my life and we attend the theatre every night!

Would you be offended by this?  How would you respond to this?

If that's the most offensive thing that's ever happened to you in your life, you've had a pretty charmed life.

That's horrible. I'm a theatre goer who likes to sit in silence and enjoy the show, I rarely belly laugh but I am soaking up the show.

If he said that to me, there definitely would have been an encore.

You attend the theatre “EVERY NIGHT”?

I would've been just as rude (I don't like to take the lower OR higher road for that matter when spoken to unjustly). My simple reply...."If you had done something to make us smile, we would have."

You are one lucky person if this is the most you have been offended in your life.

And why make one remark in the hundreds nee thousands of shows you have seen need validation.

Do not go see that performer again LOL

Bibby87[is that your age or the year born?]. Either way your post is weird. You say 'a show member' then he said 'his show' as if it was a one man show. You said 'we' so obviously both of you showed a lack of smiles. You go to the theatre every night--no wonder you don't smile, you must be absolutely fvxked. DON'T EVER go see Dame Edna and sit in the front row cause then you will REALLY be offended.

Jesus Christ, this is the height of offense ever to befall you? What are you, an infant?
