I'm coming into Penn Station via Amtrak on Thursday, going to see The Band's Visit, and then heading to New Jersey afterwards to stay with family. I'll need something to do with my bag in between.

Does anyone know how late the Amtrak at Penn Station will let you leave baggage with them? I've looked all over their website and can't find anything. I assume The Band's Visit lets out sometime around 8:30.

I don't beleive so. This question comes up quite a bit, so feel free to use the word "luggage" in the search bar, but this is a recent one.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Ah, thank you. I may just end up using something like Schwatz Luggage instead.

Check out bagbnb.com. There has to be a location very close to Penn. I used it in Europe. Cheap and easy!

Edit: Through that site, there are several close. Schwartz is gross.

The luggage desk at Penn Station is open until 9:45 pm. It's $10 a bag if you have an Amtrak ticket.

Thank you - I was looking at the baggage section, and kept getting frustrated that I couldn't find anything about checked baggage. So much for my internet skills!

Ha! Mine aren't that great either. The Amtrak site was totally frustrating. I ended up searching the TripAdvisor forums for the answer. Just to satisfy my curiosity. And who knows - I may need that info someday.
