Loren Lott to Lead Once On This Island |
So both Hailey and Isaac are out this week. That's unfortunate for the audience, I wonder who goes on for Daniel when he isn't there.

Hailey has a foot injury? Does anyone know anything more specific?
From her Instagram:
Hey guys!! I know for the past week a lot of you have been asking why I haven’t been in the show. As y’all know I never limit my performances both emotionally and physically. During my last show I broke my foot onstage. As a result of that I will not be able to be in the show. I haven’t talked about it because I needed time to process. I’m not going to lie I’m very disappointed that I will not be there everyday to tell the story with my incredible family of a cast. Please continue to see the show the put their ALL into it every night. Thank you all for the love and support ALWAYS. Aaaaaannnd HUGE congratulations to @lorensharice who will be taking on the role of Ti Moune"
A broken foot takes months to heal usually. That is so terrible.

Really not great news for Kilgore. Hope she feels better pronto, but a broken foot will indeed take a while.
Not sure but all signs I am seeing are pointing to it being for quite some time. I checked Lott's instagram and it all seemed to happen fast. She was called on Friday to start Tuesday. There is no mention of her return date anywhere and someone asked her in the comments if she would be there still at the start of August and she responded "idk. And I think that's the key. I don't think anyone likely knows yet. Going to assume that if it is something that just happened, they might not really know much yet on when she will be cleared to return. By injury, is it a severe cut that needs to heal before she can run in the sand and the water safely? Is it broken? I am sure we will learn more in time but being that this just seemed to happen so suddenly, they might not even know yet.
Update: Broken foot? This will be awhile for sure. If she broke it during the show and then put stress on it, the damage could be pretty bad. Best wishes to her recovery but really..... I might go back now to see Lott in the role.

Thanks for the link!!

As I already posted, Hailey clearly stated she BROKE her foot during a performance.

I was trying my reply the same time you were. I did not see it until after we both posted.
A minimum of two months. Yikes.
I'm a fan of Loren's but not for anything but would it have killed her to send some well wishes in her social media to Hailey? I'm sure it's not intentional but I hope she remedies that in a follow-up. Here is Loren's IG announcement, no mention of Hailey.

Best wishes for Hailey - that's got to be heartbreaking for her.
The show is in fantastic hands though. Loren is absolutely incredible as Ti Moune. My fiance and I saw her back in January and at that point I think she said it was only her second time in the role (which was hard for us to believe). She was breathtaking. If you have tickets you will not be disappointed. I may have go back to the island for a third time to see her again.

Why would it have to be PUBLIC? Geez-- you people will criticize anything -- who posted something first, what they sould or shouldn't say.

Now THAT'S the revival I wanted.
Is it worth going back to the show to see Loren?

If you watch her story, she did mention her.
Broken feet take quite awhile to heal, especially if surgery is required. Two months seems extremely optimistic, particularly given how much running and climbing Ti Moune does. While I am not her orthopedist and know nothing about her specific case, you generally need to stay off the foot as much as possible while it heals, and then you're looking at at least 6 weeks of PT after that.
I wish her all the best in her recovery and hope the show is still running so that she can return eventually.

I've seen Tyler Hardwick go on for Daniel back in December and thought he was very good. I don't know what the Daniel understudy schedule is for this week though.
Oh jeez, I hope it heals up well and doesn't negatively impact her long term (either in health ways or career ways) especially as it seems like she broke her foot onstage and still finished the show. That's metal af
