So my Grandma wants me to take her for a show tomorrow, she’s very conservative, and I want to take her to something good, preferably not Disney, but something you would take a 10-year-old to, because I don’t want to take any risks.
DEH has suicide in it, along with the joke about sucking dick for meth, I don’t think she’ll appreciate Spongebob, In Waitress Dr. Pommater does it with Jenna while she’s pregnant, and she has seen wicked and phantom

Lol, I just explained to her last week what being gay was, while at a restaurant, after I finished she said “WE DONT TALK ABOUT THAT IN PUBLIC”"
i find it ironic that I (a liberal, gay man) is trying to help her not be offended. But I’m doing this for you, not her as I want you to have a pleasant experience. Anyway, there’s a gay couple in CFA and you’ve already mentioned why MFL won’t work. So it’s likely Hello, Dolly! which of course is awesome. And it’s one of Bernadette’s last performances.

Thank you. (Also coming out to her will be fun for me.) So ig we’ll probably be seeing hello dolly, unless I find something else
You can't go wrong with Hello, Dolly (especially with Bernadette!) but I think you should consider Anastasia as well. It's not a Disney musical technically, and I thought it was really beautifully done and enjoyable for people of any age.
You can’t go wrong with Hello Dolly. But if she might want to see something with a modern flair, while still being a conservative period piece, Anastasia could be fun.
So between Anastasia, Beautiful, Come From Away, and Hello, Dolly!, what two shows (supposing you’re still giving her two shows to pick from), which 2 do you most want to see?
I agree with some other posters, Hello Dolly if you want old school, Anastasia if you want something a little more modern (like show style, not setting, obviously). They're probably the most innocuous while still being enjoyable.
