I don't like that it's called "Stars War Land." I think it's cheap. If they had called it some planet in the galaxy - kind of like they did with Pandora - I think it would have made it seem cooler. But, that said, it looks great, and I think people will like it, but when I think of Disney I don't think Star Wars. But whatever. It's a theme park. I just want more Mickey Mouse and less Gardians of the Galaxy.

Star Wars Land was only a working title. It’s been officially named Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It is bound to be one of Disney’s most interactive lands at the moment.

Yeah, it’s called “Galaxy’s Edge.” Star Wars Land isn’t the name, the same way that Pandora isn’t called “Avatar Land.”

I was at Disneyland in March, and it just isn't what it once was.   It just doesn't feel like Disneyland anymore.  Much of the charm and magic is gone.  I don't think I'll be returning for quite some time.  I went during non-peak season, and it was still extremely crowded.  I'm sure many of the classic rides will be gone soon enough, or retooled, to be more Marvel and Star Wars focused.   And who knows what else they'll put in after the Fox deal goes through. Ugh.

I do really hate that the Tower of Terror is now a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. Boring. I loved that haunted hotel feeling. But alas. I also wish they'd change out the Frozen show in California Adventure. Let's move beyond Frozen.

I was recently working with some Disney actors down in Orlando and it was interesting to get all the inside scoops of things that were cancelled, etc. There was to be a Star Wars hotel that had all the rooms looking out into the "galaxy" - therefore not real windows - and all the guests were given uniforms upon check in. Apparently it's still happening, but they've dialed it back a little.

I know Toy Story Land just opened, and looks fun. Disneyland Pairs is getting a "Frozen Land" which seems so odd to give an entire area of a theme park for one movie.

The Star Wars hotel was going to be a fusion of hotel, alternate-reality-game and Sleep No More-style immersive theatre: honestly the way it was described sounded like Westworld without robots. I'm not surprised they've dialed it back, as the initial pitch seemed overwhelmingly difficult to actually bring to fruition.

Was just in WDW and I always talk to cast members to hear their opinions on certain things. I was also there for Toy Story Land opening. It was chaos for opening day (didn't go then), but was already calm the next day. Pandora's opening was a zoo for several weeks and they're already anticipating Star Wars to be 4x as chaotic(opening Sept. '19). WDW still has all the magic except for Hollywood Studios. HS will basically be three different, smqller parks: Toy Story Land, Star Wars and Marvel. Expect the Rockin' Rollercoaster to be changed to a Marvel themed ride and Tower of Terror to change as well(not Guardians of the Galaxy) to fit the Marvel theme plus adding various Marvel entertainment. Still love Magic Kingdom with all of the classic rides and EPCOT's World Showcase is still amazing. Animal Kingdom is now so much better with it being open at night. Still live WDW and now my countdown until my next visit is officially underway.
