I was so confused about the "one night preview" in NJ, and I found this:

Tours do a "preview" at a community college? Seems super weird.

Well, that was last year before it headed to Asia(12/17).  I can't imagine the quality of any tour with that kind of schedule.  Certainly not Equity.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

This tour is the current non-equity Asia tour of Legally Blonde coming back for a US leg.

Big League Productions has been launching its non-holiday tours at the Theater at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ, about an hour outside of NYC. They teched/launched this tour there last October, with one public performance, mostly for family/friends, and then it was packed and shipped to Asia for this year. They are shipping it back for next season. The website was partially updated for next year, and partially still reflects the original text that was there when the tour launched.

It is non-equity, with most of the physical scenic replaced with LED screens. Simple for a tour that plays almost entirely one-nighters

Yeah is common for a lot of tours. I mean, a lot of major tours play the Proctors Theater in Schenectady as a "preview" to tech and whatnot. It's a great theater.

Without going into full detail, New York State passed tax legislation about 2 years ago to provide tax credits to tour launching at the touring houses upstate, which is why Schenectady, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Elmira, Binghamton and West Point have all hosted one or several tech processes the past few years.

That LED scenic design looks awful! I hsve no problem with LED scenic design or projections as long as they are used appropriately to give the string. There is no need for constant animation, and certainly no need for flying emojis during any moment in this show.

1) the screens in this make Mean Girls look restrained

2) why does Paulette look like a hooker

3) those dancer boys tho. How you doin?
