Very sad, but very expected. It was a brilliant production.

Sad, but not surprising. Everyone should catch it while they still can! A truly joyous show.

Cant say I didn't see it coming...One of the most creative and fun things I've seen in my 19 years.....sad to see it go.
Disappointing, if only for the amount of ambition and effort that went into making the show get off the ground. The names associated with the music and lyrics scream a lack of cohesion, but it actually worked quite well. I think many in the cast have a bright future—not just Ethan Slater, but I think he’ll go far—and despite the naysayers, this wasn’t a total train wreck. Not gonna lie, though. I really thought Nickelodeon would find a way to keep them through the year.

Once the rights are released, schools will go crazy for Bikini Bottom.
Must have lost a fortune on Broadway.
Spongebob in Vegas...Thanks, now I have the image of Patrick running the Blackjack table, and Squidward working the roulette wheel.

You clearly missed the point of the show

Haha. Cute. Enjoy the hell out of it, until September. It's called an opinion about a show, which everyone gets to have. Thanks!

For anyone wondering (as I've seen about a million people on Twitter saying "why don't they just move theaters" etc.), they don't have the money to. Simple (sponge) as that. If they were making a decent amount of money, they probably could pull it off, but the move would be too expensive. Honestly, they probably would've closed soon without the renovations. Their grosses have been subpar for a while now.
(P.S. I know this has been discussed elsewhere A LOT and I'm not the first person to say this, I'm just relaying the message from the other threads about their grosses in case people have that same question I'm seeing everywhere).
I can’t believe my life comes to spending my last Broadway money choosing to see Spongebob’s last show over Bernadette friggin Peter’s last show in Hello Dolly. That’s how good the show is (to me)

Uh, without a doubt choose Dolly. I hated every second of this show, but thought it was well-done, but just a mis-fire from the beginning. So many of those songs should have been cut. I don't get why the guy who wrote "Bikini Bottom Day" didn't just write the whole score. Was anyone really showing up to hear a David Bowie song (that was awful)?
