Hi friends! I'm looking for an uptempo legit soprano song written before 1960 that is NOT about love. I'll be using it for college auditions, so I would really like it to show off my range (up to the B a step below high C)--but, I also want to feel for my character, be able to relate to her, and to care about what she's singing about.
For reference, my other song is a hopeful ballad from a musical written in 2005.
