I enjoy a nice medley, and I like counterpoint, but tbh a lot of the "overlapping" of overtures simply don't sound good. Sound like a jumbled mess at many points.

"Gypsy," "Singin' in the Rain," "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Man of La Mancha" are the first four. "Sweeney Todd" and "Little Shop of Horrors" are earlyish ones you didn't list. "Addams Family" is a late one. Interesting that the medley begins and ends -- appropriately, I'd argue -- with huge chunks of "Gypsy."

Enjoyed that.  Very clever arrangement.
