Same! I've seen the original cast 2.5 times, I kind of hope when I see it again in October that I get an understudy or 4 :)

It's after the Tonys so more people will be taking vacation days.
Of the principals/semi-principals, I think Jamie (Harry) and Susan (Rose) are the only ones who have been out.
Judging from the cast list on the website and social, they've added five people in the cast, including a former Harry Potter understudy from the UK.
Hard to tell when a new cast will take over. In London, the show does a very strict 1 year full cast turnover. Since that is very rarely how Broadway operates, I'm imagining these new understudies/additions are being worked into the show slowly to get acquainted, and then ultimately take over. It does seem a little earlier than I initially imagined, though.
Another thought is they're going to start an Alternate schedule for some of the roles. Like stated above, Boyle missed a decent amount in the last half of his London run, so I think this is a possibility. The show is the star, not the actors. However, I'd be pissed if I missed Boyle. He's just so good.
^ BroadwayBarks is the most low-key Broadway event that has ever existed. The cast is going to waltz over, pet some dogs, say some things, and leave. There could not be less energy used for an event if they tried. If anyone misses a show around that time, it will have absolutely nothing to do with BroadwayBarks.

Thank you!!!!!!!!! Exactly what I would have said!

Tonight (and assuming tomorrow's Part 2), Gideon Turner went on as Harry. He's the former UK cast member who recently came over. So, one would assume, Jamie is on vacation this week...
Re: Additional cast members... Maybe they wanted off-stage swings. I'm pretty sure that they didn't have any at the beginning of the run, which is what they have in London. I mean, there are 40 OBC and all of them (minus the alternating children) appear in the show at some point so adding off-stage swings, possibly vacation swings, would be helpful.
PS: Anthony actually got ill and missed the final performance, so hopefully, he'll get a proper one this time around, when that will be.

The final performance of the Year 1 cast (which meant Anthony's final), he was ill and so James (the main Scorpius understudy) went on that day. Therefore, Anto didn't have a proper final performance so hopefully, he gets one when he leaves the Broadway cast.

I am going one day after Broadway Barks but will literally be so sad if I don’t see Sam and Anthony because I live out of town and can’t see it again till after they leave. So stressful! "
You need to get a grip about this Broadway Barks event. No actor is going to miss a performance for this. And even if they did, you are seeing the show a day AFTER the event. Why would they miss the next day? If Boyle is out, it won't be because of Broadway Barks.

I believe that the other Harry Potter understudy is injured so that it's easier to bring over someone who knows the track than teach it to someone new.

Angela Reed was on as Ginny today.
“Do you know this information for sure? And if you do how?” I’m seeing the show back to back on the 25th of August and I will be soooooo angry if I miss Anthony and Sam.
I caught Angela yesterday and thought she was great. The show overall is still terrific after multiple viewings.

I doubt they'll both be taking vacations the same time.
People need to remember, though, as a rule, actors get 1 week of vacation for every 6 months of performances. So, for shows that open in the spring, summer is prime time for weeks off.
