I have a single 6th row house right ticket for Liza Minnelli and Michael Feinstein available for 8 pm Saturday, June 30 at Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa, CA. Will sell for under value. PM if interested.
This really has not sold well at all. They have blocked the entire balcony and rear mezz. And I would check with the theater before going. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets cancelled.
She has been doing the "chair" songs for years. And her appearances aren't rare. She was just in Pasadena with MF doing a similar show. I hate when they create their own world.

He even says in the interview that “she always does this in her shows” so they’re not acting like it’s something new, just that she wants to do it for this upcoming performance.

Wasn’t herPasadena show about a year ago?"
The Pasadena show was a year ago. But that doesn’t make it a rare appearance . I am glad she is still out there performing in whatever way . But I am not going to put myself thru seeing her again . And I love her. I wish I had known when to stop when Elaine Strich was still performing when she probably should have slowed down..

I heard from a source that they've sold 1/2 of the orchestra and the loge and balcony are closed off for this event. Sad.
"Anything you do, let it it come from you--then it will be new."
Sunday in the Park with George
Did anyone here go? I saw some good feedback on Facebook, but it seems she only performed a couple of numbers. Understandably.
After seeing her live countless times from the early 70s (including Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall and everything before, after and in-between). I saw her at Disney Hall in Los Angeles in 2014. It was tough to watch, but she had the audience in the palm of her hand.
I’ll rely on recordings and my memories now. There was a time when no one could touch her. She was simply the best. It’s sad that for some younger folks here, she’s seen as a caricature of herself now...sort of like what Sinatra went through when he was portrayed by Joe Piscopo (where is he now?) on SNL.
I hope she comes back to New York. I don't care if she only talk-sang through a couple numbers if so. I am not of a generation that ever got to see her perform live, and I want to be in her company and show my appreciation for what she gave on the films and recordings that did so much to shape my adolescence.
It was a very rough evening. M.F.'s set was fun. Then they lowered a screen and showed a montage of Liza' highlights. When it was over the screen was raised and Liza was sitting behind it. She said she """broke her back last week at dance class""". The vocals were rough. The attempt at a Q&A with questions taken from social media by Michael was weird. She brings everything to her standard answers " got my drive from mama but I got the passion from my father".. or something like that. You can see a clip from it all on M.F.'s Facebook page. I see BWW has a clip of 'What Did I Have (I Don't Have Now)'". That was the best thing in the evening.
