How long will Tamyra Gray be out of Once On This Island for? Seeing the show June 25th and trying to figure out who will be in and who will be out. I know Hailey is out for sure.

Merle Dandridge is returning to her role until August 19, so no Tamyra until August 20. How do you know Hailey will be out 6/25? A little upsetting because I’m seeing the show that day too, though I’m sure the understudy will be incredible.

Haileys understudy posted that she will be on June 25th-30th. However, I’ve heard she is absolutely stunning :) hoping to see Alex and Isaac too.

The only one that makes a difference is Alex. The rest are fine, but anyone could play those tracks.

I saw Alex’s understudy a couple weeks ago and loved her. It was my fourth time seeing the show and having seen Alex all other times, it really made no difference to me. Alex is fine and good but besides the one song, it’s a fairly small role that’s easily filled.

I also saw Alex's understudy (Aurelia) and thought she was wonderful. I would have loved to see Alex but didn't feel like I missed out on anything because he was off.

I actually thought Aurelia was MUCH warmer and more “motherly” than Alex was and honestly more suited for the role.

If you can see it with Merle, who opened the role in this revival, do. we thought she was fantastic. Brought a sexy, ominous quality to Papa Ge.

I’m seeing it on the 25th too! A little sad about Hailey being out and choosing to see the show the day after Lea leaves but still very excited.
I saw Tamyra in If/Then in Toronto and she was great but excited to see Merle
