Moulin Rouge - Boston / Ticket Exchanges#1

Had a very pleasant experience yesterday when attempting to exchange some "Moulin Rouge" tickets to a different date during its Boston run. Not sure which ticketing company the Ambassador Theater Group utilizes, but they were great. Even though the tickets and disclaimers say the usual "No refunds, no exchanges," the person I spoke with at their call center couldn't have been nicer. When I explained the need to exchange, her attitude was "these things happen." I was easily able to secure the new desired date. The only caveat was a small exchange fee per ticket, which I happily paid. I know first-hand that Ticketmaster and Telecharge (moreso) have been known to issue exchanges at no extra cost, but a lot of times if feels like you're jumping through hoops, etc. It was just refreshing to be able to have a hassle-free ticket exchange experience for once. Hats off to the Ambassador Theater Group!

That's great to hear! I recently read an article that the preview dates may be postponed to a later date due to a construction issue on the theater.

They "claim" that tickets are selling well, but there are a ton of tickets available.  If tickets were tight, I doubt they would be so accommodating.

In the event of a delay in previews, I doubt they'd charge an exchange fee to those affected. Whether "tons" of tickets are available or not, the experience was still a great one.

I doubt they would have extended the show for two weeks if they weren’t selling well.

I wonder if they cancel a full week of previews if they'll extend and push the opening date?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour will be starting up in Somerville, NJ on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City, MO(May 29-Jun 3) and is now then touring throughout Japan August & September 2018. Japan schedule: Tokyo(Aug 15-21), Kanagawa(Aug 28-29), Shizuoka(Aug 30), Osaka(Aug 31 - Sept 2).

I have tickets to the first preview performance on June 27th and the last performance on August 19th. I’m waiting to hear if I need to exchange my tickets for either or both performances.

You really think they weren't planning an extension the entire time for a show this expensive? Come on now, it's just another ploy to try and increase demand.
