I was looking at the upcoming shows for the 2018-2019 season and I noticed that there were no announced musical revivals. Am I missing something? Surely it isn't too early for them to be announced? I'm glad that new original musicals are being produced, but this seems... strange.

Dreamgirls is interesting to me, because they have annouced a London closing of January 2019, with a tour to cross the UK. However, all 3 Dreams are played by American actors (there might be 1 Effie that is British...last time I saw, there were 3 actress who played Effie). Could they be getting American's ready for Broadway?

It’s off-broadway, but there’s the Roundabout MERRILY revival, also. I honk hats the only Sondheim announced for the whole season.

Frank DiLella got to ask Sonia Friedman & Colin Callender about Dreamgirls on the Tony Awards red carpet last night, and they said that they hope to bring Dreamgirls to Broadway, it is just very dependent on casting and theatre availability.
