The song "I'd rather be me" from mean girls on Jimmy Fallon made me look forward to the show but woof that song made me not wanna see it at all.

That was odd, they showed The August Wilson theater right before the performance, and they didn't show any reactions from the audience.  I thought they did it at the their theater until I saw them walk backstage while Rachel was talking.  Very uneven performance.  The edited the "banging and fingering" line.

I thought that I just hated Mean Girls because I was cynical and too pretentious.  But lord, that was bad.  And off pitch at a lot of terms.  High School level staging.  HORRID music.  That's embarrassing.  It says a lot about the quality of theatre that this show is difficult to get a ticket to.

They nash’s up two songs and cut lines to fit because of time. It really is a great show i really reccomand seeing it !

Oh come off it,the performance was fun and some of those lyrics hillarious. It was a bit fast and cuts all over to try and get two songs in. They did a good job, now perfect but good.

re: Mean Girls

Today's Broadway prices have made it impossible for me to "see everything," like I used to do -- to an extent. Mean Girls wasn't on my list, and still isn't. But I thought it was a nice number and gave me a sense of the show. I expect I'd enjoy it if I went. But what I used to spend every few months to see 10-plus shows might get me four shows today, even with every available discount. Sigh.
