In a last second move, I’m on my way to NYC to get in line early tomorrow for the student Rush tickets. I’m staying at an AirNB since I don’t feel comfortable sleeping on the streets in NY. What time should I wake up and walk to RCH tomorrow morning?
Are you looking for 1 or 2 tickets? I don't have a student ID, so I can't get any tickets, but I'd be happy to split the waiting with you, in exchange for you buying the 2nd ticket. :)

You'll be safer sleeping in front of Radio City than in some random AirBnB.

I've been in so many NYC AirBnB's and never once felt unsafe.
That is a huge discount and I wish they offered this when I was a student!
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
A friend last year got to go to the Tony's for free just to be a seat filler (he had to wear a tux or suit though). Not sure how he got the comp ticket but I guess he must know someone involved with the Tonys.

That’s so sweet, but I’m planning on buying my friend a ticket. I’m sorry
And guys, could I have an answer to my time question please?
There is no way to answer a question about what time a line will start forming. If it were me and I had traveled all the way here and really wanted to go, I'd stay somewhere super close and check the line every hour or half hour throughout the night. Or I'd just suck it up and sit outside overnight, then after getting my ticket at 10 am go to a hotel or Air BnB and sleep all day until it's time to go.
Even if in years past a line started forming at, say, 4:00 am. Maybe this year it starts at 2 am. Or midnight. Could be any time and it's impossible to guess.

Wait, is this true that the line has started forming at 4 AM before? I'm planning on getting there quite early, but not 4 AM early.
The thing with these lines is whatever time is said on here someone will show up 30 minutes earlier. It's impossible to predict. I'm personally not rushing but I would show up at 4. But who knows, maybe they'll be ten people there by 2am.

I'm gonna roll by there at 1 am and give you a report on how many people are there

Im going to get there around 12 or 1 I think. My friend and I did it for SNL and it wasn't that bad so I might aswell do it for this. Thank you though!
I did SNL once as well (19 hours. Some people wait days.) and would do this if I was in New York for the summer. There's a McDonald's on 6th Avenue and a 24-hour deli on the south side of 30 Rock that you can go to for food/bathroom if you want to get there way way early. I think 30 Rock opens at 7 a.m.
Best of luck to anyone planning on waiting for tickets! Especially if the line ends up forming in the wee hours of the morning. I saw one person who got to the August Wilson at MIDNIGHT just for Mean Girls tickets, so I would assume people would be even more mad for the Tonys.
On line, im 11th. I’m counting about 20 tickets being bought so far. However, someone asked the box office eariler and they said there was still 400 unsold tickets so there may a lot of tickets! Don’t lose hope come wait on line!
