I’m looking for advice on wireless headphones that have a great sound quality. I have diverse interests in music and while they need to be reasonably priced, I’m looking to invest a bit. Any audiophiles with recommendations?
Funny; I have been looking into the same thing. I do own a pair of over the ear wireless Beats and I find the sound to have a dullness to it. I also have a pair of Wired Bose over the ear headsets and I love the richness of the sound. But they are very expensive and they are wired. I don't know how their wireless ones sound.. but you should check out their product line. They have some neat things about to come out.
Are you interested more in ear buds or over the ear, noise eliminating headphones? Although on the pricy end, Bowers and Wilkins makes some of the best noise cancelling headphones with exceptional audio quality. They make ear buds and headphones but the prices vary between all their products. Others I’d recommend are Master and Dynamic and B&O Play.
I'm a bit of an audiophile. I love music. I had Beats for awhile and loved them for their wireless-ness. But I just Apple Airpods at half the price, and I love them. They're great for the train or working out.
I bought Tranya in-ear wireless headphones on Amazon. 30 bucks. Love them. I tried a few others but these are great. I listen to every kind of music and everything sounds good through Them. The bass is amazing and not overpowering. Clarity is also good. They come with a charging cable and those things that hold the ear buds in your ear. I don't use them.
I can wear over-the-ear headphones. After 5 minutes, the pressure on my ears causes excruciating pain. Once I got some Bose earbuds with noise reduction, I never looked back. I recently switched to their wireless QuietControl 30. Expensive, but totally worth it, in my opinion.

It’s often recommended to me that I “edit” and I struck some detail from my original post before posting...
I had listened to many sets in a big box store a couple months ago and came away thinking I’d go with the Beats Solo3, enjoying the little push of bass while feeling an overall balance with everything. Then I got home and started reading reviews and then recommendations...and I have been indecisive since.
On-ear is a rather strong preference and noise canceling isn’t that important. In reading about headphones on the market there can be a lot of technical jargon that I know matters to the experience but it’s hard to tell how it applies to my experience. I’m really looking for something that allows me to hear clearly all the parts and relish in an orchestra, connect with jazz and singers, and rock out to pop and rock. I’m generally an album listener (in that I listen to the whole thing in a set-and-forget-it manner, if that makes any sense...) but also tend to fixate on loud and fast music. I listen to digital always; no discs or vinyl for me. It’s all about having as much on hand at any moment.
You all are great! Thanks for helping this lurker!
Well, my Tranyas crapped out on me last night. The power button won't work unless they are plugged in. Of course you cannot use them when charging. So scratch those of the list! A shame because their sound quality is wonderful.
