New translation app

I heard on the news this morning that they are testing a new app that translates broadway shows. People can watch the translations from their phones during the performance. I just hope this doesn’t turn into a sea of phones lit up during performances. I would kind of hate that since phones are always such a distraction as it is.

Interesting.  I know that with the hearing impaired app (many of the theaters are using it) there is supposedly very little distractation for those around the user. Let's hope it's the same. 

 

I also think most of us IF we notice it, would be more likely to "let it go" knowing what it actually is. (Instead of the "I can't believe he is on his phone again!" feelings which feed into the annoyance!)
