I have to say, there were some great moments for sure--and I think this show is super important--but it really suffered from some Murphyisms this season. I think what POSE was doing so well is that it felt realistic and truthful, and whenever Murphy tries and rolls out anything Glee-like (such as LuPone's diva musical number) or AHS like (Candy's ghost) that it feels super forced and unnatural. I understand that Candy being an active presence was meant to lighten the mood, and I get that he wanted LuPone to have her moment singing, but neither of those moments felt like it was serving the story and it annoyed me.
