New Souvenir Programs |
The best souvenir program I bought from this season’s shows was definitely The Band’s Visit. Harry Potter’s is gorgeous but I was hoping for more production shots.

Does anyone know if one was made for Escape to Margaritaville? Just curious.
The Carousel program is beautiful. I was surprised by the quality, to be honest. Definitely one of my favorites, especially given how few production photos have been released outside of the opening night bows.
FYI, Frozen’s souvenir program is available on the Playbill Store ($25 plus shipping).

if you buy Frozen tickets thru Ticketmaster online, you can also buy a $25 voucher to pick up the Souvenir Program and a Olaf Key Chain at the theater.
Any update as to when Mean Girls will have one? Seeing the show next week and would love to have one.
Does Angels in America have a program?
I usually get all programs from the shows I go to, but the My Fair Lady one was SOOOOOO not worth $20, it was tiny and had barely anything to it.

Yes, there was a program for Escape to Margaritaville. I won the lottery for $40 tickets to the Saturday matinee. I think everybody who entered won during closing weekend and there were still many available seats. The program was $20.

Yes, it does. It's in the Production Contract that souvenir programs sold at the theatre have to include head shots and bios (and nobody is foolish enough to try to include those as part of the program itself, since you'd have to reprint anytime there is a cast change).

A few shows do it in London, so they can do it here. Considering what producers charge for these programs, many of the more successful shows could easily afford it.

This only works in London, as the entire cast of most of the long-running shows are signed to the same one-year contract, so the full company changes out at the same time once a year.
Some of the long-running shows in New York have cast changes, it seems like, every other week, so it would be a logistical nightmare to print cast-specific souvenir books, while maintaining the production contract requirements, without having a stuffer in the book anyway.
I have to say I usually buy a souvenir program at every show I go to. I love Once On This Island and the first few times I went, they didn't have one. I went last month and they had them for $20. I bought without looking. I absolutely love this show, but that program is one of the WORST I have ever seen. I want to return it. The pictures are all over the place, it is less then 10 pages. Some of the pictures seem out of focus and just messed up. Barely any solo photos, just huge group shots. Plus a few cast members aren't even in them. Very disappointed.
In positive news...I love the Frozen one. Especially the photos in the back that are not taken on the stage. Some are truly breathtaking.

Does anyone have a picture of this one? Details on the number of pages, etc.? I’ll most likely buy it anyways, but was wondering what else is so bad about it?
I'd like to bump to ask if anyone knows if Angels in America ever made a souvenir program, when I saw the show I bought a ton of merchandise, but it was early in the run, and Im very curious if they ever made a program, I know its a rarity for plays, but this show seems ripe for one. Any word before it closes in a couple weeks is appreciated.

I saw it 2 weeks ago. Like you, I bought a lot of merchandise (shirt, hoodie, mug, magnet), but there was no program.
