Have you seen Pretty Woman? The show may be overall weak but Samantha was SENSATIONAL and multiple reviews, and members of this board have said so. Samantha WILL get a nomination, and I wouldn't be surprised if she won.

I'm going to take an absolutely blind shot in the dark and say that Kelli O'Hara might be a strong contender for lead actress in a musical.
I do wonder how The Boys in the Band will be remembered since it will be long closed by Tony time.
I think that Kelli O'Hara is going to get nominated on her name alone, but I think that Samantha will have stiff competition from Stephanie J Block specifically, and if Dreamgirls comes in Amber Riley will surely be nominated. I see The Cher Show at the end of June and I can't wait to report back on that one.

God, I hope Tootsie transfers in the spring. I'm dying to see Santino in that role.
I think this will be a Moulin Rouge vs. Hadestown season, in terms of musicals.
For plays, I think The Ferryman will take a lot, though I'm curious how strong a competitor Mockingbird will be.
I feel like Mockingbird is going to be incredible, that cast, The Shubert, Rudin will certainly be making sure it is the best it can be.

Yes, indeed. I think everybody is waiting eagerly for the Moulin Rouge!, Hadestown, and Tootsie transfer announcements for the season to get exciting. We're also in dire need of some more musical revivals!

I see Hadestown dominating next season however, I hope they transfer.

We also are expecting beetlejuice i believe!!
Any news if Girl From the North Country is going to transfer? I know it is playing in Toronto from Feb to Mar. If it opens in time (like late April), I think it could be a contender for Best Musical.
"And the American Theatre Wing's Tony Award for Leading Actor in a Musical goes to...Patrick Page, HADESTOWN."
You heard it here first, folks!
