2019-2020 Touring Season |
Just got this email...
“Thank you for being a PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh season ticket holder and being part of our Broadway family at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
We hope that you enjoyed your experience attending HAMILTON.
We will be announcing the 2019-2020 season in March and your feedback is important to us as we begin to shape our offerings.
We would appreciate your taking a few minutes to complete the following survey.”
So Pittsburgh is definitely happening in March. Less than 80 days away!

In addition to Cleveland, it's playing at the Pantages in LA and in Schenectady. Guessing other venues, perhaps Pittsburgh/Philly, Greenville, Charlotte/Durham, Chicago, Providence, Denver (could it return so soon?), Costa Mesa and maybe the Sans.
What I'll be interested to see is how long are the typical engagements (a week vs. two+ weeks), and whether any venues will double up with another Disney show (Lion King or Aladdin) in the same season.
Just got an email saying that the Broward Center in Ft Lauderdale will be announcing their season on Friday! Looks like it'll be the first season announcement this year!

Full season will be announced in February.

I think a new city is being added to the national tours: Monterrey, Mexico (6-ish hours south of San Antonio).
They are opening a new venue with the tours of The Illusionists (?), Cinderella, and Chicago, and they are joining the next season with six shows per year through Broadway Across America.
(I'm very jealous 'cause this is NOT my city and it's like 10 hours away by bus).
I just worked Wardrobe for Les Miz when it was in town. It will be touring at least through 2021 but the Tour Manager has not published the next round of dates as of yet.
It sold out every show in Minneapolis so hopefully it will come back before the tour ends.

The hints they dropped on their IG account indicate that CFA is coming and either Aladdin or Frozen. My guess is Aladdin since it has yet to tour Florida and it seems it's due to go there.
CFA makes sense since it missed FTL this season and will probably be also going to other places it missed in Florida this season like Miami, Naples, and West Palm.
Ft Lauderdale's 19/20 season:
- Les Mis (8-20 Oct)
- ETM (Nov 19-Dec 1)
- Aladdin (Jan 8-19)
- Mean Girls (Mar 3-15)
- CFA (April 7-19)
- Bandstand (May 5-17)

Not a bad lineup for my aunt!!! I'm hoping Bandstand makes its way up to Boston, glad it's touring!
(Updated) Three more season announcement dates just announced! Milwaukee's Marcus Center (Mon, Feb 11), Appleton's Fox Cities PAC (Mon, Mar 11) and Madison's Overture Center (Mon, Apr
. All had previously announced that Hamilton would be in their 19/20 seasons.
Regarding Ft. Lauderdale:
You beat me to it. Not very impressive compared to current season.
Oddly enough... re. the Broward Center's 2019/2020 lineup, on the 'Bandstand' show description page, the background image is actually of 'The Band's Visit' - which isn't even on the schedule. Ooops!
Broward Center/Bandstand
EDIT - Someone must have clued them in; looks to be in the process of being fixed. The background is blank now.
Hollywood Pantages retweeted out the JCS 50th anniversary tour with a "We're just going to leave this here...."
I'm guessing a 2020 visit to Hollywood.
Hi Everyone,
I noticed the spreadsheet mentioned Miss Saigon for the Fox Theater in Atlanta. When I checked the MS website, Atlanta wasn't mentioned. Has this been confirmed? Would love to see it if it is coming to Atlanta for the 2019-2020 season.
