Wow—Groundhog Day is touring after all? I had given up hopes of seeing that. I’m surprised to see a one person show in the lineup too.

I'd say it's just a regional premiere, but it's the first time I've seen anyone doing Groundhogs Dady regionally, so that's exciting.

I think a community theater in Florida also announced they're doing it? I know MTI now has a script "pre-perusal" on their website, so it's probably getting closer to release. Officially, I think they still stay that it's a restricted title.
Looking forward to seeing who on the West Coast gets it first. Well, either that or I'm buying a ticket to St. Paul

Escape to Margaritaville is going out Non-union.
I am surprised that "Hamilton" is part of Atlanta's subscriber season, and not an add-on, given that it already played there.

Easy way for people to purchase to entire package, so more $$$.

Well yes, that is the obvious answer. But most Subscription Series don't require subscribers to have to buy the same show two seasons in a row (or more), unless there is an opt-out or switch-a-show option, which Boston only offered once or twice.

I really think its as simple as Hamilton is arguably the most popular show of this generation, so offering it again is not surprising since tickets are not easy to come by and there are still a lot of people I know, theatre buffs and non theater buffs, who have yet to see it. Id assume they are simply doing it due to the overwhelming amount of people wanting tickets, and not everyone subscribes every single season either.
Thanks for weighing in, trekkygurl! I did find it hard to believe Broadway in Atlanta would require renewing subscribers to purchase a show they had just seen. Making "Hamilton" available to them as an add-on is one thing... that would be a perk of subscribing; glad you joined here to clarify!

You should have gotten the Hamilton ticket and sold it on the secondary market and retired.
I'm sure the theater is thrilled for that opt-out, because now they can make a fortune on it.

Ah makes sense. Nice of them to offer it in the package anyways! Thanks for letting us know! I wonder if other cities will include Hamilton in their 2nd run in their subscription.
Question for the Atlanta subscribers? When I saw Christina Aguilera at the Fox last November, the lady next to me said the only way you could get a ticket to Hamilton when it last played, was only as a subscriber. They did not allow ticket buying for the nonsubscribers. I found that odd. When I saw Hamilton in Orlando, weeks ago, that was how I was able to buy a ticket. I'm not going to see it in Atlanta. Just curious.

That's not true. I bought my Hamilton ticket last year from the theater, for list price. I'd like to give someone else the option of doing that.

She's wrong. I bought two tickets a few months before and was not a subscriber at the time. I'm not saying it wasn't a little tricky making sure I was waiting in the online queue and ready to go, but it wasn't difficult. People also physically lined up for them.
