Yeah, those shirts don't work unless you're in the theater district or people who know the show extremely well. Out of context and they just seem kind of strange. If anyone could take a photo of the merch booth or tell me about any magnets or keychains they may have, I would deeply appreciate it.

They are nice shirts. I wonder how well they are selling.

I remember seeing some whiskey glasses on the right side of the merch stand when I was entering the theatre and also some beanies.
It is a cool shirt, it just wouldn't really work in many parts of the world or a lot of parts in America. That's all I was saying. I wish they had a shirt that just said the show's name. Oh well.
That's a great shirt. AND I think it's the point of the shirt. Why wouldn't you wear it anywhere?
"You're a homosexual and you don't want to be, but there's nothing you can do to change it. Not all the prayers to your God, not all the analysis you can buy, in all the years you've got left to live. You may one day be able to know a heterosexual life - if you want it desperately enough, if you pursue it with the fervor with which you annihilate. But you'll always be homosexual as well. Always Michael. Always. Until the day you die."
I'd wear it to Fire Island and pretty much any of the bars I go to. Any queer space, really.
I'd wear that shirt anywhere except to work. And I'm not really a merch buyer generally, so when I saw the show, I sort of glanced at it, smiled, and went on my way. Now I regret not buying it. I guess there's no way to get it online?
It's so strange, some shows immediately start selling merch online (Carousel) even when they were in previews. Other shows like Angels in America still are not selling their stuff online even though they've been open awhile. I don't know who decides such things.

Hmm......as I've been typing this, I think I just talked myself into buying one. Maybe I'll buy two and mail the other one to Pence.

If anyone wants the 50th anniversary script published by Samuel French- which includes both the original text and the text for this production- it is also being sold at Drama Bookshop for $16. No absurd Broadway merch markup and you'd be supporting a one-of-a-kind independent bookstore and absolute institution.
