If you have an opportunity to see these two, live, do yourself a favor and go. Both are fantastic and play off each other like they've been married 20 years :)

One minor quibble is that there isn't enough patter between songs. Only occasionally do they mention what they're singing and why. An entire Sondheim section of the show is done as though everyone is familiar with the songs and/or the shows. I went with someone who had no clue what songs like Move On were about and why the performers were re-acting as they were.

These two dynamite performers deserve a better writer and structure for their show. They're far too good to sell themselves short.

It was mentioned that the Ragtime reunion is happening sometime, somewhere, this year, but there were no specifics.

Marin Mazzie looks phenomenal considering what she has been through. I hope she's as healthy as she appears to be and will entertain us for many years to come.

I have never seen them together live, but quite a few years ago they released an album of duets that I really enjoyed.

I have pretty frequently posted public service announcements like yours and usually no one responds to the posts and few even read them, even if they concern favorites like Kelli and Audra.

Beats me.

I saw Mazzie and Danieley together at the McCarter in Princeton back in December. It sounds like the same program. I agree about the lack of patter and the relative brevity of the program in general -- it only lasted just over an hour, and definitely left me wanting more. But they both were in top form musically and their selections were excellent.

It's certainly heartening to see Mazzie continuing to perform. She was out of the performance of FIRE AND AIR that I saw back in February, which caused me to worry that maybe she wasn't doing so well. But it sounds like she's in good shape now. Yes, let's hope it stays that way.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I was there as well. An extraordinary set that yes, does make you want more. I wish they sang more from their album. Someone at the 8:30 show actually requested "Abba Dabba Honeymoon". Both Jason and Marin were in fine vocal form. I was hoping that the setlist would be similar at 54 Below but Jason mentioned on social media that they have a whole new show. Guess I'll have to go to that as well! I do wish they would record a follow up duets album as well.
