Hey guys my name is Caleb and I'm from Louisiana I'll be coming for the week of the 20th Thru the 25th I'm interested in going see School of Rock, the Iceman Cometh, and SpongeBob was wondering how early do I need to be to be able to get cheap Rush tickets? Do I need to go early morning 5 a.m. and wait in line till 10 a.m. or can I go in the evening and still get Rush some kind of way? Hope to meet you guys and possibly see a show with people as I really don't know anyone in New York so it will be awesome to hang out with theater lovers like myself. Really appreciate any information you guys can give me as I'm new to this Rush thing haha. Also if you guys can suggest where to buy tickets online as well the cheapest I really do appreciate it thanks again

Iceman I think I went up there on a weekday between 10-10:30am around when the box office opened and got rush box seats. With SpongeBob and School of Rock, generally the worse a show is selling, the less you have to worry about getting there super early for rush tickets and neither show is selling out.

With SpongeBob if you enter the digital lottery while you're in town, there's a good chance you'd get in that way.

Spongebob and School of Rock shouldn't require you to get in line very early before the box office opens. The popularity for both shows (especially SOR) is not so intense that you'd expect a crowd to be there for rush. Most people I know who saw Spongebob got their tickets easily through the digital lottery, morning of the performance. Last report on the Spongebob rush was people were able to show up an hour before the performance and still get rush tickets.

"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." For Spongebob- what is the difference in cost and seat location in rush vs. lotto?

Strictly Ticketmaster. My experience with other sites is they are more expensive.
