Kate Baldwin & Bryce Pinkham Will Lead Tom Kitt's SUPERHERO at Second Stage; 40th Anniversary Season Announced |

Hmm...ok. This may be controversial opinion, but I think every single one of Tom Kitt's composing gigs after Next to Normal has been duller and more generic than the last. I'm open to having my mind changed, but I don't think this bodes well.
Still, I would see Kate Baldwin read the phonebook (and Tom Kitt's recent music seems to me the musical equivalent of the phone book), so I'm sure I'll end up seeing it anyway.
And wow! Lila Neugebauer is on a crazy roll these days! That woman does not stop working!

Same boat as you, JBroadway. I find Kitt's contemporary work unbelievably boring, but Kate Baldwin (and Bryce Pinkham too, for that matter) is an automatic ticket-buy for me. I will be there.

Kitt is writing music and lyrics. Dilella from NY1 did a piece on this last summer up at the O’Neill Center in Connecticut where it had staged readings with Kelli O’Hara and James Snyder.

I am super excited for this. Can we just have a concert by Kate singing the phone book in the meantime to tide us over until next winter?
