I wonder what made them choose Chicago?

Can Miranda's ego get any bigger? Neither he nor Seller are even remotely qualified to curate an exhibition on Alexander Hamilton (expert consultants notwithstanding), who is nowhere near interesting enough to have an exhibition of that size. Obviously this is simply another marketing tool for the show. But it seems like every time the public discourse "moves on" from Hamilton (the musical), they come up with a new "stunt." I have no problem with them exploiting Hamilton as a means to promote the show, but at least be honest about it.

Well there’s currently a sit down production of the show in Chicago.

It says it will be located at northerly island, but I wonder if It could be partnering with the field museum or the science and industry museum.

And I remember this musical I remember their brilliance And I might never sleep again...

There is already a wonderful, wonderful exhibit about Alexander Hamilton (sans Miranda's ego) currently showing at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. See Hamilton's story in a town he actually lived in (though you wouldn't know it from the musical which completely disregards Philadelphia's role in Hamilton's life).

I remember opening night of Hamilton here in LA. I went up to Lin and told him how great the show was and if i could get a quick autograph. (There was no one around him) he didn't make eye contact and said "i dont have time for this" and walked away. Really awkward and my theatre heart broke. I know I wasnt intitled to anything (not even a "thank you" for my complement or "enjoy the show"), but his attitude was so mean. I really saw him in such a great light. Made me think, theres no cameras around so theres no need to "act" nice.

I'm not one for exhibitions (The HP one was lame) so I was planning to skip this despite being a fan. Then I saw the pictures and am seriously reconsidering it. It looks cool.

As for egos... $$ will tell. Either there is a market for this, people will come to see it, and it will be successful. Or their egos are bigger than their fandoms, not enough people will come, and it will fail and close. No harm in trying.

I think it looks pretty cool and I'll definitely go see it.  The biggest problem is the location.  A 6-month exhibition in a temporary space during the coldest months in Chicago wouldn't be too awful, except when in a rather remote location.  You can take a bus to the Planetarium, but it would still probably be a bit of a hike from there in freezing temps and high winds off the lake.
