As if the show isn't stereotypical enough they had to go add this dunce to it. Yuck.

Also I heard that Oak is going to be replacing Richard H. Blake, and then two weeks after, Robert Di Niro is going to take over and the show will close.

To be fair, he's splitting the role with Nick while he's doing a movie. The guy is a draw and I'm sure it can help boost those quiet weekday sales.

Yes. And it was clearly a joke, Oak shouldn't go anywhere near Broadway again. (My opinion.)

You do realize that this is his show, based on the movie, which was based on his one man show which was based on his memory of growing up?

Stunt casting, maybe but it's not some random stereotypical Italian person, it's the guy that wrote the story.

He didn't just write the story, he literally wrote the show.

Didn't know nor care. I can't stand the Italian wannabe tough guys. They are the worst, not sure where your from but they have ruined a lot of Staten Island and New Jersey once the Verrazano bridge opened up but now I'm venturing into an off topic discussion lol

It's probably why I hated this show so much lol

Haven’t seen it but like others have said here, he did the write the thing and the whole situation of letting the regular cast actor out weekdays to make a movie seems a win-win situation all around. It’s not real stunt casting like Stormy Daniels is Roxie Hart for 6 weeks only in Chicago. But then again, that would probably put that show back into the 100% gross potential.

Not that anyone cares about such a thing as "logic" or "sense" with a lowbrow, immoral show like this (that glamorizes and trivializes crime and murder) - but Sonny is a contemporary of Cologero's parents. Palminteri today (in real life, not in the old posted photos) looks about 25 years older than the actors playing those roles.

It's sort of like Joan Crawford playing her daughter's role on The Secret Storm.

Can he even sing? I get that he owns that role acting wise, but you know ... this is Broadway lol.
