Hi All, I need a musical theatre duet idea for two girls to sing. They are around 14 years old but one of them has never sang with harmonies before and has only just started vocal training so if there are any harmonies in the song, they need to be quite simple for her to pull them off. This is for a school competition in 3 months time, so they have lots of time to work on it, but entries need to be in soon. This also means the song must be appropriate for their ages and a school setting, the judge always marks down if she disagrees with song choice. The only song I've come up with so far is Stepsisters Lament from Cinderella, but other students have already entered with that song. Both girls have a mezzo range and one girl has a decent head and mixed voice, the other girl's head voice is very gentle as she's only just begun using it. I would really really appreciate any help with ideas as if we don't get their entry in on time, they'll miss out. Thank you!
