I found Michael Urie to be really an inspired choice for Bud Frump at the time, since it wasn't that much of a stretch from the sassy brown-noser he played on Ugly Betty (which I loved). Overall, I very much enjoyed his performance, especially how he essentially slithered through "Coffee Break".

Doesn’t it feel way too soon since the last revival for a transfer? One that actually had a star. Or perhaps stars.

"It’s the fractured quality in [Bernadette Peters'] singing voice and line readings that puts across the character as someone for whom resentment is sliding into madness." - NYtimes on Follies (2011).

I can't imagine there's any intention for a transfer, whatsoever.

I have no desire to see this come to Broadway and I think no producer does either.

To be clear, I never thought a producer had thoughts to transfer this to Broadway, I know we just had a revival, but that would be a dream of mine to hopefully see Skylar and Betsy recognized by the Tonys

Nick Jonas couldn't sell the last revival, which wasn't even that long ago.  There's no way any commercial producer is going to open a revival of this show with Skyler Astin in the lead, however talented he may.

I agree with ljay.  There is absolutely no chance this production  moves to Broadway, where it would likely be less successful than the KC transfers of Ragtime, Sideshow, Follies, all of which lost money.

My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."

And this is just a semi staged concert production. I don’t see it transferring, but I’m just thrilled for Betsy
And I remember this musical I remember their brilliance And I might never sleep again...

Shouldn't Skylar have a more age appropriate Rosemary?

I thought Betsy might be playing Smitty or Hedy.

I thought the same thing. I'm not sure about his singing, but this would be more interesting if Michael Urie was playing Finch opposite Betsy.

Uh...no. Michael Urie is not a Finch by any stretch.
