Just curious... who do you think will win?  It looks like a three way race between Garfield, Washington, and Hollander.

Thoughts?

Garfield's got this.

I think Garfield will easily take it. He's in a revival that's gotten universal raves that will also probably win Best Revival. It's a play that most people resonate with and is important today. He spends 3.5-7 hours a day baring his soul out to audiences. It'll be a cake-walk for him, in my opinion.

I wholly accept Garfield will very likely win, but the doesn't stop me rooting for Jamie and heres why. Both are giving astounding performances, but Jamie has the extra pressure of playing the single most famous character in modern classic literature. The entire globe knows who Harry is even if they haven't read it, and still is nailing it in what is the most visible straight play on Broadway in...how long? That is an unenviable position if I ever knew one. But I accept that Garfield will win.

I haven't seen the plays, nor am I planning on going soon, but wouldn't mind if my namesake Jamie Parker won :)

Tom Hollander would get my vote though.

My vote would also be for Jamie Parker. Andrew Garfield was just a teeney tad bit "actey" for me. And Im a big Garfield fan, but Parker broke my heart. Maybe Im cheering for him because I never expected that to happen in a play about Harry Potter, but he did it.

I don't think Denzel's performance was at the same level as Parker & Garfield.  It was great, but not as dynamic (of course I saw him in early previews when he was still calling for line in his big speech).

Haven't seen Hollander yet.

Thought Rylance was fantastic as well. Unfortunately, he delivered exactly what was expected, so its no longer surprising when he's so good.

I'm pulling for Parker, but I see the writing on the wall for Garfield.

Garfield is the best without question. 8 hours of just brilliant work. He totally deserves that Tony win.

I agree I thought Garfrield was ACTING which is good and bad, where as Parker was so sublte and even his breakdown/crying was so sublte/simple that it was so brilliant. And he's also giving you just as much of a show - 8 hours on stage.

How can you choose who you would vote for if you haven’t seen any of the plays and don’t plan to?

Anywho, I think that Garfield has this in the bag.

Garfield will and should (imho) win, but Hollander should have won the Olivier over Parker

I have seen the plays except Harry Potter, as I am not particularly fond of that property. I will eventually see it for the stage craft when I have the time and tickets are easier to come by. It's not going anywhere for a few years, and I only have so much time left to revisit Travesties for a second and maybe even third time!

I think there's a big ocean between Garfield and Parker. I love both, but no.

Garfield wins this, easily.
