Hi all,

Was at Frozen today with my students and an understudy took over during Act II, but we couldn't hear the announcement and were sitting so far away that we couldn't tell exactly who it was.  I think it was Patti Murin who left because I enjoyed Anna more in the second act (not trying to be disrespectful, it just wasn't my favorite performance), but I could be wrong.  Anyone know who it was or what happened?

She had to leave to get scalpers to buy the next intake of tickets!
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

On IG, she posted: "So last night I called out of the show because I had a massive anxiety attack in the afternoon. It had been building up for a while, and while the past month has been incredible, all of the ups and downs and stress and excitement really takes a toll on my mental health. I’ve learned that these situations aren’t something to “deal with” or “push through.” Anxiety and depression are real diseases that affect so many of us. It requires a lot of rest and self care to heal every time it becomes more than I can handle in my daily life. While I hate missing the show for any reason at all, Disney has been nothing but supportive of me as I navigate my life and work, and I’m so grateful to them.

Just remember that you’re not alone, your feelings are real, and this is not your fault. Even Disney princesses are terrified sometimes."

I feel for her.

But calling out is different than leaving in the intermission. Is this the same incident?

^ She said in her post that she called out at night, and we were at today's matinee. I don't even know if it was even her. Elsa's understudy (or alternate) was already on, so I don't think it was Elsa.

It was Tracee Beazer taking over for Olivia Phillips as Bulda in Act 2.

If Patti left you would have noticed another actress in the role from the last row of the balcony since her standby is black.

If you enjoyed the Act 2 Anna(which was still Patti) then she's doing her job.

^ Thanks for the info. I guess I just liked the character better in Act II.

I found the second act to be much stronger than the first, so it could be a combination of a better written act with a stronger arc for the character.
