Is Lenk eligible for The Band's Visit this year or is she ineligible because of the Off-Broadway run? That would be strange is she was reading the nominees and said "me for The Band's Visit!"

Yeah I think she is ineligible for the OCC this year.

Cause he needs to make sure no one else beats him , soon he should start a preview thread for a show that doesn’t start till next season!
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Emmaloucbway: Yes, Lenk is ineligible this year for Outer Critics. She was already nominated for this show and lost to Bette Midler in ''Hello, Dolly!'' ... And, no, it's not unheard to have a potential nominee making the announcements. The Emmys likes to do this, by ''surprising'' the person. But the nominee usually doesn't announce his/her own category; it's done by their co-announcer,
I don't like this, and it once led to one of the cringiest moments in Tony history. Kathleen Turner was asked to announce the 1985 Tony nominations, and was considered to be a contender for ''Indiscretions,'' her 5-person play with Eileen Atkins, Roger Rees, Cynthia Nixon and Jude Law. Well, everyone in her cast was Tony-nominated, except Turner. But she was a class act. Still, why did the Tonys put her in such an embarrassing position? They could've allowed her to gracefully bow out with a last-minute, scheduling conflict, etc. That seemed cruel to let her go on.
Adamgreer: For the record, Outer Critics members vote online.
Pretty safe to say Louderman will be considered Leading this awards season. I know it can change award to award, but it’s a safe bet, IMO. Also, interesting that Park and Butler got noms, over the more hyped performances of Weed and Rockwell. Also, no Henson.
SpongeBob SquarePants - 11 Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - 10; My Fair Lady -9; Mean Girls - 8; Desperate Measures - 7; Angels in America - 6; Carousel - 6; Once On This Island - 6; Three Tall Women - 5; Cost of Living - 4; Frozen - 4; Prince of Broadway - 4; Farinelli and the King- 3; In the Body of the World- 3; Mlima's Tale - 3; Miss You Like Hell - 3; Travesties - 3.
Wow... I believe that the strongest set design and sound design was Once On This Island and they weren't even nominated!
I agree that one of the best performances of an actress in lead role was Denies Gough for People Places and Things, and add Billie PipEr as well for Yerma but I don't know if either was eligible. So hard to determine if Brooklyn theater is considered as a lot of great performances come from St. Ann's and BAM (and is Armory considered an off-broadway theater?)
I really hate the lack of love for Once on this island and the rest of the cast of Angels in America. Oh well. I hope the tonys correct this.
As usual, a weird list. Happy to see Hoggett pop up for HARRY POTTER. Haven't seen it, but I love his work and would like to see him nominated.
Now I'm even more interested to see where they put Louderman.

Also, and I preface that these awards are generally garbage - did they not see THE ICEMAN COMETH? No Denzel?

Gemignani is also shocking considering the cut any material that made his character likeable.

Not surprised about Denzel. The role is great but he's average in it. The production is just 'okay'. Morse shouldn't have been nominated.
Not surprised about the set / sound for OOTI. Although it may get Tony nom, MY FAIR LADY is better -- and is climbing to win the Tony since it's opening - and more are seeing it.
Kinda suprised at all the Prince of broadway love. Newell should get a nom and no set design for OOTI?? Also suprised Kerry butler was nominated. And super shocked at all the spongebob love.
