Hp actor contracts

Was just wondering if anyone knew when the initial end of the Harry Potter casts contracts would be ended. I’m hoping to see them at the end of September in New York. I’m just wondering if the original contract was for a year or six Eight months. Thanks

I don’t know for sure but I’m assuming they will be doing the same thing as they did in London. The last day of the original cast was on the last day that was on sale in the first release. If they do that it should be in March, so you shoukd be fine. Take that with a grain of salt though as I’m just guessing that’s what it’ll be

I believe that when actors are brought over from the UK, the standard contract is 6 months, but maybe I am just making that up?

There's a chance they could have the same contracts as the original cast of The Play That Gors Wrong, since they also came over from the U.K.

I asked a few of the UK-based performers at the Stage Door after the first preview. They wouldn't confirm a specific date, but confirmed they will be in at least through the summer.

That's a good question and I'm curious as well. I remember when Matilda transferred to Broadway from West End, Bertie Carvel (who played Miss Trunchbull) and Lauren Ward (who played Miss Honey), were only on Broadway from previews in March 2013 until Sept 2013 --- which is roughly 6 months.

I think 6 months is the most I've ever seen for a UK actor here.  Equity won't let them stay here indefinitely, although I don't know if there is an actual explicit cutoff.  The cast of The Play That Goes Wrong was here around 6 months (Mar 9 - Sept 17), which is also in line with the HP actors saying that they are here through the summer.  

The Matilda actors were from Mar 4 - Sept 1.

So I think they will definitely be here through at least part of September.  I don't think it's clear right now what's going to happen after that.
