He could also ban scalping. Bots are only part of the problem.

I don't think it should be illegal for an individual to sell a ticket for more than the purchase price (within the bounds of the license granted with the purchase of the ticket). People do it all the time with real estate, rare coins, and all other kinds of investment. There's a willing seller, a willing buyer, and it's not a matter of life and death, so I don't see why the government should have a say.
