That is Oliver Award winning Ben Daniels who looks damn fine for being 54 years old."
Thank you and yes he does.

I believe so, and I liked the choice. Judas hangs himself (presumably by kicking the ladder from underneath himself). It was an effective way of implying the suicide without showing Judas hanging himself on Easter Sunday, in front of the whole family. (I thought, anyways)
I also liked the stark lighting with the falling glitter afterward.

Yeah but it was like a stream. They cut it very short
"
Yeah I was confused why they cut to black screen so quickly.

I have a few mixed feelings....however, I thought he nailed it in Superstar just now.

Not a fan of John Legend's physical choice to demonstrate pain/fatigue. He seems stiff legged (but strong) from the shoulders down, but from the neck up, he's a bobblehead.

I kind of agree. He has been a big “meh” for me until that Superstar, which was fun.
Do we know if / is it possible this will be available later? How has it worked with previous NBC productions? It's hard seeing this from the outside the US. Overall I think I've gotten like, 10 minutes of the show* from snippets on social media and other sites.
*But I'm so in love with what I've seen!

I was just telling my husband that BVD is about to get a lot more famous. Loved him as Aaron Burr. I had tix for Shuffle Along but it closed before I could see it.

Brandon’s costume for Superstar was EVERYTHING!!!!
I though Sara was near perfection. Norm was my second favorite in the whole thing. I was a fan of BVD most of the time too. John Legend was OK but made some odd choices (the voice sounded tired so I'm a little less critical of that, obviously he can sing). Biggest disappointment was Alice Cooper, what a colossal waste of an opportunity for a song that can steal the show when done well. I thought costumes were great and staging was creative. Overall, an interesting different way of doing a live TV musical. It certainly had a better energy than some of the soundstage live musicals.
You know who I would have loved to see as Herod? Alan Cumming. Alice Cooper was just lame. I mean, even Colbert would have been better (and he knows the song by heart).

You have to always remember that Jesus Christ Superstar is all being told through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. It's his perspective... so "Superstar" is meant to be outrageous like Judas trying to the responses that everyone else has of Jesus. Thinking the whole thing is spiraling out of control. That the next scene ends with Jesus dead on the cross in one sense validates Judas' thought... in horrific fashion
