Where is this being filmed?

Really liked Norm, as well as Jin

I got it working. This concert staging, so far, has worked better for me than any of the other live tv musicals. Can we get Gaga as Evita Live in Concert sometime soon please?

I didn’t think it was possible for me to love Norm Lewis more than I already do. Tonight I was proven wrong.

^^^^THIS. The sound mixer needs to step up his game because if they are gonna scream like this the WHOLE show, they keep overpowering the sound. It feels more like the actors are screaming then singing to battle the audience.

I understand that the live audience adds an energy to live shows like this but be prepared to counteract it sound people.

I'm having a terrible time understanding what they are singing.  No question part of it is because of the audience screaming.

I think it could have been stronger if he didn't need to basically SCREAM to be heard over the audience.

I agree it's hard to hear.  But, in defense of the audience, yesterday we were encouraged to cheer, clap, sing along, wave our arms around, stand up and dance, etc. So the audience is reacting as they were told to do so, but I agree, they should have adjusted the sound knowing that.

I'm completely with you. Best of all everything - the staging, costumes, choreography and performances - all all holding together as a concept. Love it so far,

This reminds me of the first production I ever saw which was Tom O'Horgan's production that opened the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles. This was before he did the Broadway show (which was totally different). But it very much had this kind of loose staging with minimal actual sets.

I think the filming of a concert style staging works so much better than any of the previous live musicals as well. To me the filming always felt awkward just due to the nature of earlier productions but this feels natural.

Beautiful job by Sara Bareilles on "Don't Know How to Love Him". Her work in Waitress is paying off.

To me, this “concert style” production feels much more natural then any of the other NBC productions. It resembles many of the stripped down revivals that are common (aside from the 864 member ensemble). The sound mixing is rough, but that’s going to happen any time you have 1500 cheering fans. They’re keep it moving, even with commercials. If this was a staged production, act I would almost be over and we’re less then an hour in. So far, I’m a fan.

Thanks, I found one on Playbill, too.

No I agree.  That role needed more of a real rocker sound.

This show is SO good minus the screaming audience. This was my same nitpick I had with Grease when they first introduced the concept of a live audience at the live productions. We don't need to be reminded that there is an audience EVERY TIME there is a slight pause in the action. The pauses are there for dramatic tension. Not for a contest of who can scream the loudest. The production set up of this big wide space that the camera can move through so fluidly is the best idea that live shows have had to date but we get it. It's live. We don't need to be reminded of that every time there is a 3 second pause there no one is talking or singing.
