Lottery Fraud Safeguards

I noticed today that the Hamilton lottery states that entries from "disposable email addresses will be discarded."

This feels like a bluff unless there is some way that a third-party like the lotto software has access to when email addresses were created and/or how often they are used. How would the software that runs the lottery be able to determine which emails are disposable and which are not? How would they be able to ascertain the difference between a rarely-used email and a disposable email specifically made in order for the person to enter multiple times.

I'm in no way advocating trying to game the lotto. That's insanely bad theater etiquette and just bad karma in general. But I also don't understand how the software could flag disposable email addresses (unlike  flagging multiple entries with the same name, which is easy for software to flag). Could my email be discarded because it's an alt email I only use for lottos and mailing lists?

I always wonder this too. Really I wonder about the digital lotteries in general- are they actually legit? Don't get me wrong, I have won many (including Hamilton) but I still wonder how it actually all goes down. Including what happens when people don't claim tickets- has anyone gotten an offer after the deadline? I know TodayTix does it but curious about the others

I've won a bunch as well, and have always been curious how they work. I did win Angels in America after being put on the standby list after the cut off, but that's the first and only time I've ever been on standby. I believe the Friday Forty for Harry Potter does standby, the website says you can win after the original pull, but so far I haven't witnessed it first hand.

I'm curious about how Lucky Seat handles their duplicates (I actually just tweeted them to see if I could get an answer) because I forget when I've entered and since it's not just a one a day thing I don't wanna disqualify myself.
