I decided to email Disney Theatrical Group Guest Services about the release date (I had preordered the album in Denver). They currently anticipate a early May release. I didn’t ask if this estimate applies to just the theater release date or the street release date (which means the late June street release date could still be accurate). However, I did confirm that preorders purchased at the theater would be shipped out when it is available for sale at the theater.
It's not unusual for albums to be released early for digital download. Perhaps, the optimistic "early May" will apply to iTunes and other digital outlets and the CD will be available in stores on June 22nd.
It should be interesting whether all four young Anna/Elsa actresses will be able to be heard in the cast album. But they were all at the first cast recording session.

No release date has been announced yet, but the orchesta for the cast recording will be expanded from 21 to 44 (including a string section of 22). I guess it's possible the 4 previously released songs could be re-recorded.
I've heard Murin is great in the show, but vocally this left me really missing Kristen Bell.

Ditto. Wasn't expecting that going in to this recording, either. Oh well. And while I sort of appreciate that they wanted to include the orchestration for the dance break, I wish they would've left out the random giggles and heavy breathing and outbursts. That was awkward to listen to.

It was certainly funny to see it staged in Denver, as it captured how awkward Anna is, and how Hans plays along with it well to woo her. It would be interesting to see them stage a abbreviated version of it for a music video (unlikely) or a live performance (more likely).
Both Facebook and Twitter has a short video with Caissie Levy in the studio booth as the theme to "Let It Go" plays. Guess we may see a Music Video of "Let it Go" soon (hopefully).
