There's a big snow storm hitting NYC tomorrow night, right when my friends and I have been planning a big Broadway outing. What's our best way to take advantage of the weather for cheap tickets? Will box offices have lower prices/should we wait for TKTS/is there something else I'm not thinking of?

I'd love to get in/below the $50 range if possible and this snow storm seems like a stroke of good luck - I'm just not sure how to take advantage of it.

Thanks for any help! (And I'm so sorry for anyone who's having their plans ruined by this storm, that really sucks!!)

You can go to the box office and ask if there are any rush tickets available. I've also asked for student discounts and sometimes they reduce the price slightly :P For example, I showed up 20 minutes before curtain for Hello, Dolly! last Saturday and got tickets for $47. They were partial view, front row orch, but the other options might have been rear balcony for slightly more.

Here's a link to cheaper ticket options for every show on Broadway: http://www.broadwayforbrokepeople.com/

Someone posted a similar thread during the last NYC snow storm...can't find it right now though.

Also keep an eye on the official Twitter accounts for shows you're interested in. They often will post a discount code the day of a storm.
