Hey ya, I'm going to Orlando for the next few weeks for work. Any cool theater related things I should see/do - and/or any fun gay things? etc.

Waitress will be there next week and Something Rotton at the end of April.  Both will be at Dr Phillips Center.  They usually have a student rush at Dr Phillips.

I told my partner it would take Jinkx Monsoon to get me to Parliament House; turns out Bendelacreme got me there. I was shocked at the condition of the place--the "Footlights Theatre" is a tiny little shoebox...much of the rest is a series of semi-cavernous common areas. Maybe the place survives due to its cultural significance; I thought it was kind of a dump. But then again, I'm not a bar person.

That said, Ben made the most of the small space and put on a full-fledged, scripted  and clever show.

Dr. Phillips Center is a great space that gets the bulk of the touring shows.

Broadwayjim42, Depending on the act, they will have the performer on the larger stage outside by the pool.  It is standing only, but can be more comfortable then inside the Footlights Theater.  I am sure that is where Martha Wash will perform.  I never go to Gay Days, but the last performer i saw on the outside stage was RuPaul.

Good to know. Maybe it was just the night or the reasonably early hour, but it was almost completely empty except the Footlights on a Friday night so a lot was vast emptiness. Made a weird first impression. But thanks for clarifying there's more than one stage.
